This is a beautifuly stuning piece of photography . Just looking at a page of diffrent art on the DA home page and this instantley caught my eye . The vision of your piece is perfect . It is a haunting scene of abandonment and ruin and the way you let red light bleed through gives it a timeless qulity as if it doesn't praticularly belong in this time or the past . The angle in which you captured it is also testiment to your skill as it makes the building apear domenering yet excessable and the baren tree frames the picture well . Also the fact that you can see the little houses in the backround is nice , as if they're there to say "We've moved on and forgotten about you ." to the building . I think you've captured a unique and beautiful image and you deserve and DD for it .
This photograph breathes the air of sophistication. The tall, domineering building easily catches our attention, boldly stealing our breath away. Yes, the building of the past standing there mysteriously truly does ask for appreciation and awe.
It is marvelous how you managed to capture the essence of the history and its impact on present time and this world. The architecture is emphasised with the grey shades and the colour around the chapel.
The sky is well accentuated with the light clouds and the trees nicely fill the left side of the photograph. The angle is well chosen and the sharpness just right. The subject is also quite well centered and dominates the photo.
All in all, a work of true art. You've truly managed to capture the heart of Dalmatia and her long history. Well done!
Awesome shot! I really like the atmosphere it creates ^^ Now, I have to know, did you do this purely with digital editing, or has the infra-red filter been removed from that particular camera to help create the effect? =O
No, I don't use filters on camera because today anything can be made on Photoshop and Camera Raw. In the past I used filters but I have seen that any effect can be made in post-production. The only useful 'manual' filter is ND for long exposures.
IT looks more like a painting than a photograph the first tree on the left the position and the separation of the clouds is just at the right place to make it look like a painting great shot taken thank you
